2nd Trimester Must-Haves

Home / Pregnancy / 2nd Trimester Must-Haves

I have rounded all my favorite products thus far that have made this 2nd Trimester so much easier for this first time mama. Check them out and let me know if there is something YOU love that helped you through pregnancy.

  1. Smarty-Pants Prenatal Vitamins- I found these prenatal’s way before we started thinking about baby making and I took them for a good year while we we’re trying to get pregnant. I absolutely love them and couldn’t recommend them more. They taste delish, they are all natural, no fake stuff, and they also have a probiotic included which I LOVE because we all need good gut health to prevent sickness. My Dr. was totally okay with me continuing these throughout pregnancy.
  2. Belly Butters/Oils– This was one of the very first purchases I made after going to my first appointment. Yes, I’ve heard that stretch marks are genetics and that creams won’t help, I’m not falling for it. I am all about moisturizing my stretching skin and also drinking plenty of water to prevent what I can. I really liked the Palmers lotion and oil, but switched to the motherhood maternity oil and cream due to their huge sales.
  3. Snoogle Pregnancy Pillow– YALL have to get one of these. Starting very early on I had a ton of hip pain in the night. I would constantly be waking up to switch sides. I would use a regular pillow between my legs and assumed it was similar so I didn’t want to splurge for unnecessary items becuase hello we are about to have a baby added to our budget. BUT boy was I wrong, I cannot get over how much this pillow helps me sleep at night. I also haven’t had hip pain since. MUST HAVE!
  4. Maternity Clothes– This was another purchase I made pretty early on. I couldn’t stand clothes that were tight on my belly so I purchased maternity jeans first. I know that some woman can get away with their pre-baby clothes throughout their entire pregnancy but that is totally not me. None of my bottoms fit me from pre-baby and my tops are getting tight. Motherhood Maternity (going out of business though, wahhh) & Pink Blush Maternity is where I have gotten all my maternity clothes from. Im LOVING these two outfits I got for spring.
  5. Bombas Compression Socks- My legs swell VERY easily, even before pregnancy so this was a purchase I was prepared to make. I asked my Dr. if I could start using them at around week 12 but didn’t go for it until week 19. I haven’t noticed any swelling out of the usual but my spider veins on my thighs increased and I wanted to get ahead of the game. Bombas are so soft, have no seams, and the compression socks specifically provide extra cushion at the heel on to the toe.
