Being a work from home mom, I am always trying to find fun things to do with our little one. I’m the type of person who needs to get out of the house daily, which usually ends up costing money. It’s always nice to find adventurous things to do with a one year old that are FREE. We live in DFW so there are TONS of things to do, most recently we have been going to splash pads which are perfect for six month – eight year olds. Rayluka LOVES it but I’ve come to realize not all splash pads...
MY INVISALIGN JOURNEY – WEEK 1
STARTING MY JOURNEY After finishing my first official week wearing Invisalign I figured it was a great time to give you an update. As most of my readers probably know via Instagram I’ve been using Invisalign through Perkins Orthodontics in Fort Worth, Tx (find them on IG here). Ever since I was around 12 years old I’ve wanted braces or Invisalign. My mom always thought I was crazy and didn’t think they were bad enough to correct and therefore I never got them. In her defense I also begged her to get glasses and contacts with no vision issues (HAHA)....
ONE ROOM CHALLENGE – WEEK 6: LAUNDRY ROOM REVEAL
Welcome to week six, this is the final week and the one where you get to the finished space. Don’t worry, I have included the after photos at the top of this post incase that is all you are here for. When I initially enrolled to be a guest participant for the One Room Challenge I felt totally overwhelmed and like I may had gotten myself way in over my head. Turns out it was the exact push I needed to complete this project in a timely manner and step outside of my DIY box a little bit. I have...
ONE ROOM CHALLENGE- WEEK 5
OVERSIZED DIY PEG BOARD One of our main issues in our laundry room was the lack of storage/use of space. We started using it as a catch all especially the hook rack…between the keys, mask, jackets, leashes, etc our small little set of hooks were a cluttered mess. We still wanted to have a place to hang certain items but be more updated and practical. I decided a giant peg board would be such a fun project and totally give us what we needed. Also, have you seen how much these cost to buy? Holy smokes I was not about...
One Room Challenge Week 4: Laundry Room
This is by far my favorite week so far to share with you. I can’t stop obsessing over the look of our new laundry room. It makes such a statement and I’m totally here for it. If you stay around until the end you’ll get a glimpse into what the finished space will look like. If you are new here I am participating as a guest participant for the One Room Challenge where bloggers choose one room to transform over the course of six weeks. Each week we blog about our projects and progress of the space. You can check...
Smilereader ovulation kit- Review
As you know I’ve been working on getting in sync with my body postpartum to be as prepared as possible when it’s time to begin trying for our rainbow baby. I partnered with Moms Meet to try out the SmileReader Ovulation Test Kit. The kit includes 50 ovulation test strips and 20 pregnancy test trips + free access to the SmileReader app. If you have ever used an ovulation test you know they can be super difficult to read and understand whether they are positive or not. The SmileReader Ovulation strips and app take the guess work out of it,...
Gourmet gift baskets -Holiday edition
I cannot believe we are only 1 week out from Halloween. This year has went insanely fast and I’m not sure I’m ready for the holidays yet but they are coming whether I like it or not. I feel like the holidays are going to look a tad bit different this year which is why I absolutely love these adorable little boxes that Gourmet Gift Baskets sent over. Such a great gift idea for the holidays or a way to let someone know you’re thinking of them during these crazy times. Their “Boo Baked Goods Gift Box” is filled with...
ONE ROOM CHALLENGE: WEEK 3
Where do I even begin? Last week we were out of town unexpectedly and it has really set us back on the laundry room renovations. I did accomplish a lot this week though and I am excited to share it with you. We are entering week three of the One Room Challenge. This leaves us with three weeks before reveal day of our space. Eeekkk, that seems so far away, yet so close. I am honestly most excited about putting the finishing touches together and revealing the room to you all. When you finish up here be sure to check...
ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 2: LAUNDRY ROOM
I wish I was here to update you with something exciting but week two did not go as planned. Like I stated in week one I knew there would be some hiccups along the way. Unfortunately our vacation was extended due to a death in the family and we have not been home for the last ten days. Which means our laundry room renovation has been put to a hault until we make it back home. If you missed week one you can catch up here. If you’re unfamiliar, this is a 6 week challenge where bloggers/influencers from all over...
