ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 2: LAUNDRY ROOM

ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 2: LAUNDRY ROOM

I wish I was here to update you with something exciting but week two did not go as planned. Like I stated in week one I knew there would be some hiccups along the way. Unfortunately our vacation was extended due to a death in the family and we have not been home for the last ten days. Which means our laundry room renovation has been put to a hault until we make it back home. If you missed week one you can catch up here.

If you’re unfamiliar, this is a 6 week challenge where bloggers/influencers from all over the world choose one room to transform and share about the process either through their blog or Instagram account. The ORC is not a competition, but rather a celebration of creativity, inspiration, and original ideas. You can check out the other participants rooms here.

I did do a tiny bit of shopping during our trip and got some decor items that I know I will need such as a faux plant. I also found a rug for the space but it wasn’t something I loved. Although it was super affordable I decided to pass. We will be home on Saturday and I will be playing some serious catch up on Sunday.

My plan is to tackle the joint compound application on the walls ( I need to smooth out the texture), measure out the space for the shelving, order the cabinets, and get the space ready for the new flooring. We will need to remove the trim and the existing flooring. Once this is done I will paint the space and begin the fun DIY projects that I have planned.

That’s really all I have this week. I was hoping to be updating you with something exciting but unfortunately things happen out of our control. Hopefully next week we will have made some serious progress. Thank you so much for following along in this journey. I can’t wait to get to work when we get home.

You can check out all the other participants here.

Xoxo, Taylor G.
